In addition to his positions at the bank, he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Association of Real Estate Credit and Savings Entities and the Vice President of Febraban’s Credit Operations Portability Governance Committee.
Lazari had to compete against six other Vice Presidents to get the position as president of the bank. Lazari was not the first choice for the Succession and Appointment Committee according to economia.estadao.com.br. Many people believed the Mauricio Minas who is in control of technology would be chosen as the new president of the bank. Although Octavio de Lazari Junior was not their first pick no one was able to compete against him. Lazari’s credentials and his work in credit made way for him. The bank’s goal is to surpass their title as the second largest bank in Brazil. They are now hoping for bigger and better things. He has connections and credentials that will be very useful for the company’s advancement. Lazari is without a doubt a suitable replacement. Trabuco helped the company advance in every area that he had the opportunity to serve in. Lazari must uphold the standard that has been set for him.
